According to the World Bank, only Lagos and Rivers States have a higher GDP than than the $12bn sent home by diasporans in 2012. Given their economic contribution and the fact that the 2m or so Nigerians in the UK for instance outnumber the 1.9m people in Goodluck Jonathan's Bayelsa State, it is now bordering on the criminal not to give them a vote!
