9ja Olympics 2012
Not to worry, at least we still defend our gold medals in the following events:
1. Most expensive democracy in the world.
2. The only country with a population of over 100m people with no regular electricity.
3. The most corrupt politicians in the world.
A country of over 160 million. When countries that are smaller and less well to do are picking up precious metal.
I just hope our so-called "leaders" were watching to see the level of infrastructural and organizational development other countries have while they continue to gallivant.
That's what you get with years of neglect, corruption and politiking with sports.
P.S, we need to participate in more activities like weightlifting, swimming, archery, gymnastics, rowing e.t.c.
The Olympics favors some countries and this is obvious in areas of swimming and gorse ridding for instance but it's no excuse, we can train and prepare to win if we are committed.

CPC Chief Strategist Accuses Jonathan Aide of Contempt
The CPC's chief strategist has hit hard at a presidential aide, accusing him of contempt for refusing to discuss politics on his facebook page. On a note he placed on his facebook page (see below) this strategist who habitually uses gutter language to insult the President expected everybody to descend to that level, however, when the aide refused to join issues it elicited the response below.

Also to read a full transcript of the spinned article as instigated by Mallam Elrufai (see below);
I witnessed the Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media, Mr. Reno Omokri, demean a Nigerian citizen on facebook and i intervened out of my zest for justice.
This is the transcript of the conversation that occured via facebook on tuesday, January 10, 2012
Mr. Reno Omokri updated his status on facebook:
“”Two things happened when man fell. 1-Man lost dominion over the earth. 2-Man sinned and was condemned to death. Therefore, for God to restore His purpose for mankind and the earth, He had to lift that death sentence on man’s head. Then after that, he had to restore dominion to man. This is what Jesus meant in John 10:10 when He said-the thief comes to steal (your dominion) kill ( death sentence for sin) and destroy (God’s purpose for man) but I come that they may have life (lifting the death sentence on man via His sacrificial death) and have it more abundantly (the abundant life that you have when your dominion is restored). But all these are promised to only those who believe in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. As we approach 2012, consider the words of Jesus In John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” There is no other way. So if you have not entered through the Jesus way, think deeply and make that decision to make Jesus your Saviour. If you believe, say “Jesus, I believe in you and your sacrificial death on the cross as well as your resurrection. Come into my heart, I confess you as my Lord and Saviour”. Now if you have done this, look for a bible believing church and start to study the bible. Don’t be ashamed. Remember Jesus said In Matthew 10:32-33 “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disownhim before my Father in heaven.”"
Mr. Yomi Olugbenro stated: “12 pressing questions on my mind:
1. N240b was budgeted in 2011 and N1.3t was spent on fuel subsidy. Who approved the extra N1 trillion and more? Extra budgetary spending?
2. Maximum of N300b was spent on fuel subsidy on annual basis up to 2010. Who were those that approved the papers for the payment of N1.3t in 2011?
3. We were told that selling fuel at N65 in Nigeria will keep encouraging smuggling to neighbouring countries where fuel sells for between N170 to N200 per litre. Will that stop if fuel is sold at N140 in Nigeria? Isn’t there enough incentive between selling at N140 and N200 or is there a plan to actually move the price to N200 (since we are the “giant of Africa”?)
4. What did we do with the billions of dollars saved from the World Bank and IMF’s debt forgiveness? The same minister is still in power.
5. We started privatisation since 26 years ago with the continued promise that recurrent expenditure would be reduced. But recurrent expenditure has increased from 50% to 73% as at 2011. How has our own privatisation resulted in building up of overheads?
6. Why can’t we make a scape goat of those who have enriched themselves and impoverished Nigerians through corruption in government?
7. “Nigeria is broke” as they want us to believe, but the President want 6 presidential jets in his fleet when the British PM flies BA. Who is fooling who?
8. How can the government continue to ask the already improvised Nigerians to keep making sacrifices for a “better tomorrow” when they live in opulence and luxury at the expense of our collective wealth?
9. What is difference between this government and previous administration that will make Nigerians believe their empty promises?
10. Do we need 42 ministers and the retinue of advisers, special advisers and senior special advisers that follows?
10. Do we need 42 ministers and the retinue of advisers, special advisers and senior special advisers that follows?
11. Do we really need a full-time national assembly?
12. Do we really need two different chambers of national assembly?”
Mr. Reno Omokri replied: “Yomi Olugbenro This space is entirely devoted to the projection of my personal beliefs in God through His Son Jesus. I maintain a political profile-facebook.com/buildupnigeria. Please direct political messages there. Thank and may God bless you.”
Mr. Omololu Omotosho made the following statements on the status update: “@ Reno Omokri Are you sure you are not a hypocrite?” “Reno Omokri, Most people cannot be wrong, check yourself man”
Mr. Allen Ogedengbe joined the conversation: “Last I checked Reno Omokri, build up Nigeria says: The Build Up Nigeria Project is a non governmental initiative founded by Reno Omokri to build Nigeria’s image by projecting good things about Nigeria and Nigerians in order that first Nigerians then the rest of the world can celebrate Nigeria.
And I remember before the elections you said that build up Nigeria was non partisan. What has changed?
I think it behooves your person to answer Mr. Olugbenro’s questions.
Thanks”
Thanks”
Mr. Reno Omokri replied: “Thank you Allen Ogedengbe. I will be blocking you and anyone who politicized this profile. Thank you.”
Mr. Omololu Omotosho made this statements on the status update: “block me Reno, I am more popular than you…..”“he may want the money but not the honest work…..Nigeria does not work like that anymore”
Mr. Omololu Omotosho also commented on Mr. Reno Omokri’s status update by posting the URL of an interesting article written by Nigerian youths for Mr. Reno Omokri to enjoy, the article was deleted and Mr. Reno Omokri replied Omololu Omotosho by stating, “Omololu Omotosho This profile is meant for the projection of my beliefs in God through His son Jesus. If you want to discuss politics please go to the profile I opened up for that purpose (facebook.com/buildupnigeria). I will have no choice but to block anyone who attempts to politicize my personal private profile. Thank you.”

@amdegreats blog NIGERIA:A NATION MURDERED BY NIGERIANS
NIGERIA:A NATION MURDERED BY NIGERIANS
Nigeria is, in all definitions,a nation destined for greatness.God graciously blessed this nation with everything needed by any nation to be prosperous and progressive in terms of human and material resources. That Nigeria is where she is presently beats all right thinking persons’ imaginations. So it would be correct to submit that Nigeria is what she is because of who are.
Why would Nigeria suffer this terrible fate from her citizens? Why would a nation so blessed be made to totter in the valley of hopelessness? The reason is that we never accept Nigeria as ours. Our founding fathers defined Nigeria in different ways and their definitions had made Nigerians to become un-Nigerians,generations after generations. We only see from the perspective of our-turn-to-rule,not for the collective happiness, peace and prosperity but to oppress, supress or repress others. This is the reason we embrace the type of democratic(?) system that is killing Nigeria easily. We don’t mind nor do we give a damn(apologies to Mr President) if there’s no peace nor prosperity for Nigerians as long as we are enjoying the looting spree in strong collaborations with our stooges and cronies.
Imagine the revelations coming out since 1999 about the magnitude of sleaze going on in Nigeria. Most of these sleazes are still unresolved till today. What it takes to shift attentions of Nigerians from one scandal is to bring up another scandal.Let me remind you of some of them-
- Police Equipment Fund scandal
- Ministry of Health scandal involving Senator Iyabo Obasanjo
- $180 million Halliburton scandal
- $17 million Siemen Scandal
- $6 million Wilbros bribe scandal
- $214 million National Identity scandal
- Almost $24 million looting of Edo State involving Lucky Igbinedion
- $16 billion power project scam
- =N=38 billion COJA scam of 8th All Africa Games
- Patricia Etteh’s =N=648 million scandal
- Dimeji Bankole’s =N=10 billion House loan scandal
- IGP Tafa Balogun’s several billion scandal
- Olabode George NPA contract splitting scandal
- Governors Gbenga Daniel,James Ibori,Alameighsia,Alao Akala and others being tried or jailed for stealing public funds
- Several Refinery Turn Around Maintenance(TAM) scandal
- Senator Adolphus Wabara’s bribe-for-budget scandal etc.
- Police Pension Reform task force scandal
- Pension fund scandal
- Capital market probe scandal
- Fuel subsidy scandal etc
Imagine what Nigeria would have been if all these scandals had not happened or have been resolved lawfully and various loots returned to the treasury for begging development.Imagine avoidable deaths that would have been averted.Imagine avoidable accidents that would have been averted.Imagine the possibilities of Mark Zuckerberg,Bill Gates,Steve Jobs coming from Nigeria and the economic effects.Imagine our security agencies having enough funds for training, equipments and sophisticated intelligence gathering.Imagine Nigeria being the economic hub of Africa.Imagine Nigeria being the darling of investors.Imagine Nigeria as a nation thriving in PEACE,PROGRESS AND PROSPERITY.Imagine Nigeria as a land of fulfilled destiny.
The above scenarios are the realities Nigeria is missing from the actions of Nigerians at both micro and macro level. O dear Nigeria, you are not alive to truly fulfil your destiny because your children hate you so much,so much that they do everything possible to deny you of your God-given wealth and health.Such is the fate of Nigeria,a nation murdered by Nigerians.

To be first/excellent
You need to be focused, remember everything, including the very little details, be clear, accurate and better than everyone else, forget the pain and use your brain but always know that there is a role for nature/luck.
Snoop Lion
Comment I found:
"Smokin' weed is sacrament to a Rasta. A good choice for Snoop. There are biblical references such as Psalms104:14 "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man" . It's a spiritual activity that brings them closer to as well as getting insight from Jah, it cleans the mind and soul and helps bring peace as well as pleasure. It's as much to do with being a Rasta as Friday prayers are to a Muslim."

Sharp Decline in Terror Attacks After Bin Laden Death
The number of worldwide terror attacks fell to 10,283 last year, down from 11,641 in 2010 and the lowest since 2005, the State Department reported today.
What's made the difference? The State Department cites the May 2011 killing of Osama bin Laden and other top al Qaeda members killed last year including Atiyah Abd al-Rahman and Anwar al-Awlaki, who was the head of Yemen's Al Qaeda affiliate and had ties to the underwear bomber plot in 2010.
"The loss of bin Laden and these other key operatives puts the network on a path of decline that will be difficult to reverse," the report stated.
But Ambassador Dan Benjamin, the State Department's coordinator for counter-terrorism, warned that for all the good news about the core of al Qaeda being weakened, affiliates of the group, particularly in Yemen and in Africa, continue to pose a real risk.
Nigeria was one of the few countries which actually saw an increase in terror attacks last year because of Boko Haram, and Kenya and Somalia continue to experience attacks by a weakened Al Shabab. Benjamin also noted that the Arab spring and other countries in transition could leave important allies like Egypt and Iraq vulnerable to terror groups.
The following is a list of high-profile terrorist killed or captured since President Obama took office.
•September 2011 – Younis al Mauritani captured (senior al Qaeda leader in Pakistan)
•September 2011 – Abu Hafs al-Shahri killed (al Qaeda’s chief of Pakistan operations)
•August 2011 – Atiyah Abd al-Rahman killed (Al Qaeda No. 2 in Pakistan)
•May 2011 – Osama bin Laden killed (Number 1 Al Qaeda, and worlds most wanted)
•June 2011 – Fazul Abdullah Mohammed killed (top al-Qaeda operative in Somalia)
•June 2011 – Ilyas Kashmiri killed (top al- Qaeda commander in Pakistan)
•June 2010 – Hawza al Jawfi killed along with 6 other terrorist (leader in Pakistan)
•May 2010 – Mustafa Ahmed Muhammad Uthman Abu al-Yazid killed [aliases Shaikh Sa’id al-Masri and Mustafa Abu al-Yazid] (al Qaeda’s No. 3)
•April 2010 – Abu Ayyub al-Masri and Abu Umar al-Baghdadi (Top two Al Qaeda operatives in Iraq)
•March 2010 – Qari Mohammad Zafar killed (terrorist leader in Pakistan)
•February 2010 – Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar captured (The Taliban’s top military commander)
•February 2010 – Sirajuddin Haqqani killed (militant commander in Pakistan)
•January 2010 – Qassem al-Rimi, Ayed al-Shabwani, Ammar al-Waili, Saleh al-Tais, Ibrahim and Mohammed Saleh al-Banna killed (Al-Qaeda military boss and senior Al-Qaeda figures in the Arabian Peninsula)
•December 2009 – Saleh Al-Somali killed (senior al Qaeda operative in Pakistan)
•September 2009 – Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan killed (ringleader of an al Qaeda cell in Kenya)
There have been several other less-visible leaders and operatives killed under the Obama Administration, as well as many other attempted kills and captures.
This is the trend Nigeria must follow to stop Boko-Haram, strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter.
