2012 9ja Budget

The 2012 Nigerian budget has about 1bn naira allocated for feeding in Aso rock...na §☺ Jonathan dey chop reach?

How many days make a year? 366 days for 2012. Please divide 1 billion Naira by 366 days, you get #2.73 million. This is the cost of feeding the Nigerian President and his Vice by Tax Payers.

They will not pay Lekki Toll gate if they pass through, their children won't pay. LASU increased fees and they are going to use free fuel despite planned removal of Oil subsidy. I've asked myself: are we singing same National Anthem...........

Ummmmm............

Do you know President Obama pays for his own food from his own pocket? And he is paid less than our SENATORS (they are paid 3 times as much) ? And we have 109 of them.

We export our oil and import it back, what is our literacy/poverty level sef.. Na wah. They take our monies and invest them abroad not thinking about creating jobs for the citizens.

GEJ must kick corruption out, surround himself with good people and get down to business.

WE also need to help him. "You have to be the change you desire" - Ghandi.

They don't even want to know about power supply. Just buying crazy generator sets. Do you guys know that Nigeria is the country that holds the title as the worlds biggest importer of generator sets?

Na wah. GEJ please nah. We dey beg you now. Please wake up and try to be honest please.

God help us.

NIGERIAN LEADERS

Fela was right,
Achebe was right,
Soyinka was right,
The problem Nigeria faces is lack of leadership.

The corrupt rule,
The people cheer,
Injustice Injustice, you are not a friend,
Why do you come here? Why do you stare?

How did we sit and let this happen?
Why do we allow the ignorant and wicked t0 lead?
How come the backward are on top?
Why do incompetent people have such important positions?

Oh God above,Please help us,
We are your children too, Our hands are stained,
We cannot look, It's just so sad,
Give us the courage and help us not to fail.

Beautiful Nigeria

People might not know this but the largest man-made structure in the world was once in Nigeria, till it got destroyed by the British (it is still is the largest man-made earthen structure).

And Sungbo Eredo also in Nigeria required earth to be moved than the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Nigeria is blessed with an abundance of breath-taking sceneries and natural wonders. From the Obudu hills to the numerous beaches there is a variety of very cheap and yet amazing ways to relax and enjoy yourself.

Personally, after a few weeks of chilling, I like to hit the big cities, so off to Lagos we go. The most bubbling city on the planet. I think Lagos really symbolizes black energy. If you are not sharp, you will be taken for a very big ride. All these pictures are from Lagos, Nigeria:

Nigeria is a wonderful place blessed with a great history and vibrant energy. It has the makings of a nation on the rise and will definitely claim that top spot someday. The people are always cheerful no matter what and I think that is it's major blessing. I have been to many countries and cities, but not one is as happy as Nigeria ;D

There are a host of other places over in Nigeria, just explore.

Born Black.

At first I didn't know this and no I ain't no racist,
I grew up in bliss and peace,
Surrounded by loving parents, relatives,
The earth, birds, church bells and trees,
My parents shielded me from the destruction and chaos outside,
or perhaps I was just too young to understand,

Anyway, The little black boy grew,
and I started to see the difference,
Things were different for me,
I assumed it was the natural order of things,
Maybe if I worked hard and smart enough I would achieve,

So I started labouring,
In school, at work, No one could ever call me lazy,
I excelled, but still my prospects remained hazy,
I travelled trying to escape, but realized that I was trapped,
As long as I remained under, it was fine,
but once I started to make progress..................

Our black leaders have not helped one bit,
We keep hoping, praying they will change,
Can't they see what is going on around them?
Can they not see how the rest of the world is advancing?
We Africans are trapped in front and behind,
Our continent has been raped over and over again,
The people cry out but GOD WHY? ARE WE NOT YOUR CHILDREN TOO?

No race has suffered like the black race,
The Jews come second, but are still miles away,
I did not steal, I did not cheat, I stayed away from trouble and obeyed my parents,
If only I could explain all the things going on in my head, If only I could show you,
Till the African continent rises up from slumber and poverty, I fear things will not change,
My only crime is that I was born black in a white man's world,
